Quick answers to the questions we get most.
How do I record?
Open the Record tab and tap the big mic button. Speak naturally. Tap again to stop, pick a note type, and Echo turns the audio into a summary with key points and action items.
How long can a recording be?
Free: up to 20 minutes per session and 90 minutes per month. Pro: unlimited, and long recordings keep processing in the background even if you close the tab.
Which languages does Echo understand?
Transcription works in 99 languages and auto-detects the one you speak. The app itself is available in English, Dutch, German, and Spanish - change it in Account.
Where do my notes go?
Every recording becomes a note on the Notes tab: summary, key points, action items, and the full transcript. Free shows your last 30 days (older notes stay saved and come back when you upgrade). Pro shows everything.
What is Ask AI?
A Pro feature that answers questions across your whole library. It finds the most relevant notes by meaning, cites them as sources, and remembers the conversation.
Is my audio safe?
Audio is encrypted in transit and at rest, stored in the EU (Ireland), and only you can access your recordings. You can download all your data or delete your account and everything with it in Account.
Do other people know they are being recorded?
That is on you: many countries require everyone in a conversation to consent. Ask first. It is the right thing to do and often the law.
How do I cancel or change my plan?
Account, then Manage subscription. It opens your Stripe portal where you can switch plans, update your card, or cancel. Access runs to the end of the paid period.
