Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Echo, operated by HuysStyle. By using Echo, you agree to these terms.

1. The service

Echo is an AI-powered note-taking application that records, transcribes, and summarizes conversations using your phone microphone. The service is available as a mobile app (iOS and Android) and web application.

2. Your account

You must be at least 16 years old to use Echo. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. One person per account. Sharing accounts is not permitted.

3. Recording responsibility

You are solely responsible for compliance with recording laws in your jurisdiction. Many regions require all-party consent before recording conversations. Echo provides a tool for recording. It is your responsibility to inform all parties that a recording is taking place, where required by law. We are not liable for recordings made without proper consent.

4. Your content

You own your recordings, transcripts, and notes. We do not claim any ownership over your content. We process your content solely to provide the service (transcription, summarization, storage). We do not use your content to train AI models.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

Record conversations without required legal consent.
Use Echo for illegal surveillance or monitoring.
Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract source code from Echo.
Share your account with others or create multiple free accounts.
Use automated tools to interact with Echo beyond normal app usage.

6. Pricing and billing

Echo offers Free, Pro, and Teams plans. Paid plans are billed through Stripe. You can cancel at any time from the app settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. Refunds are handled case by case - contact us within 14 days of a charge you dispute.

7. Service availability

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee 100% uptime. We may perform maintenance with reasonable notice. We reserve the right to modify or discontinue features with 30 days notice.

8. Limitation of liability

Echo is provided "as is." We are not liable for missed recordings, inaccurate transcriptions, or data loss beyond what is covered by our backup systems. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Termination

You may delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. Upon termination, your data is deleted within 30 days per our privacy policy.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Cyprus. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of Cyprus, unless EU consumer protection law grants you the right to use your local courts.

11. Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification at least 14 days before taking effect.
